Ingredients
 3 cups (29-ounce can) chickpeas, drained and rinsed 
 ½ cup sesame tahini 
 3-4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or more to taste) 
 1 teaspoons crushed fresh garlic 
 Salt and freshly ground black pepper
 1  chopped tomato and a drizzle of olive oil for garnish, if desired.
Directions

Place chickpeas and tahini in a food processor. Pulse until smooth. Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pulse until smooth and creamy. Taste and add more lemon juice, if desired.

Place hummus in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped tomato and a drizzle of olive oil.

Serve with pita bread or assorted cut vegetables.
