Ingredients
 6 ounces tomato paste
 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
 1 tablespoon brown sugar
 1 tablespoon mustard
 2 tablespoons tamari
 ½ teaspoon black pepper
 ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
 ½ teaspoon onion powder
 ½ teaspoon garlic powder
 ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
 ½ teaspoon chili powder
 ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
 ⅓ cup water
Directions

Whisk all ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a boil, whisking constantly, then remove from heat. Set aside to cool.
